Off-Track Doors: Bracket, Hinge & Track Repairs
When rollers pop out, brackets loosen, or hinges fail, a door starts to bind, run crooked, or come off its track entirely. These are two real hardware repairs we completed in Dublin and Danville that brought binding doors back into alignment.
Dublin: loose bracket and worn hinges
A Dublin door was running unevenly and making a grinding sound as it moved.
What we found: a lift bracket had worked loose and several hinges were worn, so the section was no longer held square and the rollers were dragging in the track.
The repair: we replaced the failed bracket and hinge hardware, re-seated the rollers, and re-aligned the section so the door tracked straight. After the fix the grinding was gone and the door moved smoothly.
Danville: track and hardware alignment
A Danville door was binding and sitting crooked in the opening.
What we found: the track and related hardware were out of alignment, which let the door shift and catch as it traveled.
The repair: we corrected the track alignment, replaced the worn hardware, and re-set the rollers so the door ran true. We cycled it to confirm it opened and closed without catching.
